1. From
Providence - T.F. Green Airport
Access New England

By Cozy Cab Newport Shuttle
(Van): (800) 846-1502 Shuttle Service operates between
0800-2200 with vans departing every 2 hours or more frequently,
approximate cost: $20.00. Reservations, Tel: (401) 846-2500, are
recommended for peak travel periods. The shuttle van will stop at
most hotels. We will be pleased to make reservations for you if you
provide us ETA and Flight info.
By Rental Car:
Approximately 40 minute drive. Take I 95 South to Route 4 South, to
Route 1 South, to Route 138 East to Newport. In Newport refer to
attached map for MSI and hotel locations.
2. From Boston - Logan Airport
By Car/Rental Car:
Approximately 90 minute drive. Take I 93 South to Route 24 South.
- If you are going directly to MSI
get off RT 24 at RT 138 (Newport Beaches) and follow to RT 138A
(approx 5.5 miles to Dunkin Donuts on right). RT 138A only goes to
the left and it is also Aquidneck Ave. MSI is 344 Aquidneck Ave. on
your right side about .7 mile after 7-11 on the right. If you come
to a traffic light where you have to turn left or right, you just
missed us.
- If you are going directly to either
the Courtyard Marriott or Howard Johnson's Hotel take RT 24 to RT 114
South to Newport. Both are in Middletown. The Courtyard Marriott is
just off RT 114 and Howard Johnson's is on RT 114. Refer to attached
map.
- Other recommended hotels are in
Newport and RT 138A is the better route into town. Refer to attached
map.
By Bus: Bonanza Busses
(Tel 1-800-556-3815) depart Boston South Station for Newport. Please
call Bonanza for connections on your arrival date, as schedule is
different depending on time of year, week day/week-end, and subject
to change. ($19.95 one way/$36.45 round trip). Connections between
Logan Airport and the South Station can be made by bus, cab or MBTA
(Subway known as the "T"). A cab is recommended if you
have heavy baggage. Cost is approximately $10.00, higher during
peak commuting periods. The bus station is located at 700 Atlantic
Avenue next to South Station. If you elect the "T" take
Massport Shuttle (free) to the MBTA Airport Station then take blue
line to red line to South Station.
The bus will drop passengers at the
Newport Visitors Center, next to the Newport Marriott Hotel
(some drivers may drop you off at Howard Johnsons, if asked).
Connections to your hotel can be made by local cab. Recommend Cozy
Cab 846-2500; approximate cost: $3.00.
By Cab: Cab fare from
Logan Airport to Newport is approximately $175.00 one way, and not
recommended unless several can share the expense.
3. From New York - La Guardia
Airport: Commuter Airline to Providence then Cozy cab. Drive
from La Guardia approximately three and a half hours. Take I 95 East
to Rhode Island. Exit 3 in RI is Rt. 138 (Kingston/Newport). Follow
Rt. 138 East to Newport. Take the second exit off the Newport Bridge.
Take a left at Jai Alai. Go straight through 4 lights, there will
be a 7-11 on the left side of your last light, take a right onto
Aquidneck Avenue. We are about 7/10 of a mile down on your right.
There is a ball field across the street from us.
If
you come to another light you have gone too far.
